Heavily sprung crocodile-type clamps, with rubber grips, to ensure a secure grip on the battery terminal.
How to Use Jump Leads:
- One end of the red jump lead should be connected to the flat battery’s positive terminal.
- The lead must not touch any vehicle metal. Attach the red lead’s other end to the boosting battery’s positive terminal.
- Take the black lead and connect one end to the boosting battery’s negative terminal.
- Attach the other end of that cable, the second black jumper cable clamp, to an unpainted piece of stationary metal on the car with the dead battery or the negative terminal on the dead car’s battery.
- Disconnect in the reverse order.
